Writeup: A gifted stand up comedian, Laura Kightlinger
has also established herself as a talented character actress.
She has appeared in ten feature films (as of 2003) and participated
in numerous TV shows throughout her career. Said career began
in 1994 when she landed a spot on the legendary Saturday Night
Live. Apparently it didn't work out very well because she
was only on the show for a year, but it was the beginning
of a beautiful thing, because since then she's been working
steadily in Hollywood, and I would guess doing standup all
over the country. Her feature film credits include The Thin
Pink Line (1998), The Independent (1998), Pootie Tang (2000),
Shallow Hal (2001), Run Ronnie Run! (2002), and Daddy Day
Care (2003). She has also hosted Pulp Comedy for Comedy Central
and appeared as a correspondent on The Daily Show. She is
currently a writer for Will & Grace. |
