Writeup: Born in Java, Indonesia, Laura Gemser is
best known for her role as Emanuelle in the series of films
by that same name, made between 1975 and 1983. I count 14
films where she appeared as Emanuelle in one form or another,
and I'm assuming this is accurate. The films are basically
softcore porn, featuring lots of hot sex, kinky affairs, and
anything your imagination can dream up. They were also hugely
popular around the world, otherwise they wouldn't have made
so many of them. I don't believe any of Laura's Emanuelle
films were made in English, just considering the fact that
most of her movies are Italian. After her run as Emanuelle
ended, Laura actually worked very little in films, working
more as a costume designer and taking bit parts in various
films. She has not appeared on the big screen since a 1992
appearance in Una Tenera storia (1992). |
