Writeup: An attractive brunette, Kristen was born
September 2 in Van Nuys, California. She attended Cal State
Northridge for her extended education and made her feature
film debut in Megaville (1990), starring opposite Billy Zane.
More feature films followed in the next few years, including
The Marrying Man (1991), which starred Kim Basinger and Alec
Baldwin, Stay Tuned (1992), that bizarre John Ritter movie
where a husband and wife pair are sucked into the television,
and Caged Fear (1992), a silly low budget action film. Kristen
is probably best known, at least to certain audiences, for
her on television. Her first TV experience came with a short
three episode story arc on the first season of Silk Stalkings
in 1992, playing Annie Overstreet. Her first series regular
role was on Winnetka Road (1994), a well cast but short lived
show. Her most notable role was as Capt. Shane Vansen on the
series Space: Above and Beyond (1995), a Fox show that only
lasted one season. It was about a squad of marines involved
in a war against alien invaders. Sci fi shows generally generate
cult fanbases, and this one was no exception. She also appeared
for one season the Fox show Millenium, which was created by
Chris Carter, who also created The X-Files. |
