| The
Writeup: A talented comic actress, Kimmy began her
career as a ballet dancer but went with acting because of
the success she experienced. Her first feature film was The
Last American Virgin (1982), a goofy teen comedy. She appeared
in occasional projects after that feature films Growing Pains
(1984) and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989) and the TV movie
Family Secrets (1984), but also attempted to pursue ballet.
It wasn't until 1990, and the bizarre TV movie and series
Twin Peaks, that Kimmy moved into acting full time. She was
often encouraged to adlib her lines on the show, making full
use of her unique comic talents. It resulted in a number of
great lines and hilarious moments. The show was deemed to
strange by ABC and was canceled after one season, but Kimmy
stuck with acting and has worked frequently ever since then.
She is an experienced voice over actor, providing the voice
of many characters on popular cartoons. She even provided
the voice of Alana for Disney's The Little Mermaid. Other
feature films she's been in include My Mom's a Werewolf (1989),
Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991), The Willies (1991),
Leprechaun 2 (1994), Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997) and Stuart
Little (1999). Her heyday was in the early 90s, she doesn't
do a great deal of work anymore. |
