Writeup: Kim Dickens made her feature film debut in
Palookaville (1995) and has since crafted a very impressive
resume in a relatively short time. She is primarily a feature
film actress with the occasional foray into TV. Her most notable
feature films include Zero Effect (1998), Great Expectations
(1998), The White River Kid (1999), Hollow Man (2000), The
Gift (2000), Things Behind the Sun (2001), House of Sand and
Fog (2003) and Goodnight, Joseph Parker (2004). She had a
leading role in the 2001 TV series Big Apple, but it only
lasted a handful of episodes. In 2003 she was a part of the
much hyped Showtime mini series Out Of Order. It was well
reviewed and much liked by it's viewers, but it seemed like
Showtime spent a lot of advertising dollars promoting a mini
series for their pay TV channel. Anyway, Kim appears to be
crafting an excellent career in both independent films and
studio projects. In 2002 she was nominated for an Independent
Spirit Award for Best Female Lead for Things Behind the Sun. |
