Writeup: Kim Delaney began her acting career with
a role on the long running soap opera All My Children in 1981,
playing the role of Jenny Gardner Nelson from 1981 to 1984.
A long time veteran of TV since, Kim has appeared on countless
TV shows and has appeared in a number of TV movies and feature
films. Her feature films roles include The Delta Force, The
Drifter, Hangfire, Project: Metalbeast, and Mission To Mars.
It's not in feature films that she's made her career though.
It's in television, where she's been a fixture for more than
20 years now. After All My Children she had a part on LA Law
for one year 1987, then moved on to a one year stint on Tour
Of Duty (the '89-90 season). She had a role on the short lived
series The Fifth Corner but it was her six year role on NYPD
Blue that made her a star. She's a beautiful actress who's
adept at playing the tough, independent woman, and NYPD Blue
allowed her to show this off. She left NYPD Blue to headline
her own series in 2001, the show, entitled Philly was bad
and didn't last very long, getting canceled after season 1.
The very next year, 2002 she landed a role on CSI: Miami,
but she just didn't work on the show and was fired/chose to
leave, depending on how you look at it. Without a doubt, you'll
be seeing more of Kim on television in the near future. |
