Writeup: Kelli Williams has been a TV actress for
her entire career, appearing in only four feature films since
her debut in 1989, she is without a doubt most well known
for her various TV movies and shows. It all began in 1989
with a role in the TV movie The Case of the Hillside Stranglers
and blossomed from there. She starred in TV movies like My
Life as a Babysitter (1990), Switched at Birth (1991), A Woman
Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story (1992), For Their Own Good
(1993), Snowbound: The Jim and Jennifer Stolpa Story (1994)
and Mary & Tim (1996) early in her career. She also guested
on a number of big time TV shows like Quantum Leap, Law &
Order, Sisters, Party Of Five, Earth 2, and Picket Fences.
It was probably her role in Picket Fences that led to her
casting on the ABC show The Practice (David E. Kelley is the
creator and showrunner for both). In 1997 the Practice took
to the airwaves, becoming an instant hit and giving Kelli
a steady job for the next six years. In a surprise move in
2003, most of the returning cast on the show was fired to
save money on the budget and get the show renewed. Kelli was
part of this purging and is looking for work now (although
she will no doubt find it). |
