Writeup: Daughter of the famed screenwriter Robert
Towne, Katharine was obviously born to an actress, and if
her work since 1998 is any indication, Katharine will be around
for a long time. One of the most prolific actresses I've seen,
Katharine has been involved in 21 film and television projects
as of 2003. That's quite a bit of work in five years. She's
been involved in a number of acclaimed films as well, She's
All That, Go, But I'm A Cheerleader, What Lies Beneath, Mulholland
Drive and Sweet Home Alabama (scenes deleted) among them.
She actually seems to have a knack for balancing supporting
roles in studio films and leading roles in independent pictures.
She had the lead in the 2001 film Sol Goode, a sweet romantic
comedy that Katharine is excellent in. |
