Writeup: The bust star, best known for her role in
Titanic, tends to stick to independent minded films, clearly
preferring to work outside the Hollywood system (which is
understandable). Apparently, James Cameron delivered the ultimate
insult to Kate by telling her she was too fat to wear that
big fat diamond to the Oscars the year Titanic racked up so
many nominations. Perhaps that was off putting for her, perhaps
nobody wants her in their big budget Hollywood flicks, who
knows. Kate is certainly a talented actress, but physically
she doesn't really fulfill the typical actress archetype.
Married now with a child, Kate seems to take much joy in that
newfound part of her life. |
