Writeup: A beautiful blond actress, Kate Capshaw found
her beginning with a role on the soap opera The Edge Of The
Night in 1981. It was only three years after that that she
hit the big time when she was cast in 1984's Indiana Jones
And The Temple Of Doom. The movie was a huge hit, but Kate's
performance was ravaged by critics for being far too over
the top (I liked it just fine, but I'm no critic). I'm not
sure if it killed her career, but she hasn't really returned
to those heights ever since. She has starred in mostly quiet,
low budget films and made for TV movies. Of course, she's
married to the all the powerful Steven Spielberg, so it's
probably not a huge problem for her. |
