Writeup: Karri Turner was born in Texas in 1966 and
attended Oral Roberts University for two years before moving
to southern California to pursue a career in acting. Unlike
most of the people who move to SoCal for an acting career,
Karri has actually achieved significant success, appearing
regularly on television since 1994 and becoming a well known
actress to millions. Her first major role came on the series
Wild Oats (1994), a short lived show (3 weeks on air) about
two twentysomethings living in Chicago. It starred Paul Rudd
and Paula Marshall among others and Karri had a fairly meaty
role. She was next seen guest starring on Caroline In The
City (in 1996) and Suddenly Susan (in 1997) before being cast
as Harriet Sims in the CBS series, which as defied all convention
to become a long running, and quite popular, series with new
episodes still airing to this day (fall 2003). Other memorable
work she's done includes guest starring as Tara Scully, Agent
Scully's sister in law, on The X-Files and voice work on South
Park (most notably as Kathie Lee Gifford in a 1997 episode). |
