Writeup: The owner of wildly erratic career, Karen
Lynn Gorney first appeared on the big screen in David and
Lisa (1962). However, it wouldn't be until eight years later
that we'd witness her talent again, this time on the soap
opera All My Children, playing Tara in the original cast.
She appeared on the show from 1970-1974, 1976-77, and 1995.
She is probably best known for this role and her role as Stephanie
Mangano, John Travolta's tough talking dance partner in Saturday
Night Fever (1977). After that part she essentially disappeared,
popping up again in 1991 in the movie The Hard Way, playing
a bit part (woman in subway). She has had a couple of other
bit parts in recent films, but remains out of movies for the
most part. From what I've read, Karen has been appearing in
cabaret shows, on stage, and writing various projects since
she departed from film. |
