Writeup: Karen Grassle is one of the most beloved
TV moms of all time, having starred in the hugely popular
Little House On The Prairie for eight seasons. She was born
in Berkely California and stayed close to home for college,
attending the University Of California at Berkeley, graduating
in 1964. She was also trained at the London Academy of Music
and Dramatic Art, so she's obviously a skillful actress. Karen
has worked sparingly outside of Little House, including 8
TV movies and two feature films (and don't forget her appearances
on Battle Of The Network Stars). The two feature films she's
been in are Harry's War (1981) and Wyatt Earp (1994), which
wasn't nearly as good as Tombstone, another movie about Wyatt.
She has also been in the TV movies The President's Mistress
(1978), Battered (1978), on which she was also a writer, Little
House Years (1979), Little House: The Last Farewell (1984),
and Between the Darkness and the Dawn (1985). So if you look
at it, she really did almost no work after Little House, preferring
I suppose to raise a family or enjoy the benefits of such
