Writeup: Karen Allen's first ever movie was the 1976
film The Whidjitmaker, but it wasn't until 1978's Animal House
that she became known to the public. Animal House was a national
obsession, and Karen picked up a loyal following of fans after
the film's success. 1981 marked her biggest year ever after
she starred in Raiders Of The Lost Ark, the first Indiana
Jones film. The film was a huge hit, and Karen a big star,
but she didn't cash in on the fame, presumably her choice,
and instead chose to work on her stage career and choose her
film roles wisely. It may not have been the wisest choice
when it comes to being a superstar, but Karen has nonetheless
worked steadily ever since then, albeit in smaller roles in
mostly low budget films. |
