Writeup: Jodhi May has been an actress since she was
12 (she was born in 1975), and she made her feature film debut
in 1988's A World Apart, but she has worked sparingly over
the years, at least compared to some of her acting brethren.
However, she can always be counted on to deliver a solid performance,
sometimes bordering on brilliant. She has appeared in both
American productions and British productions (though the majority
of her work is British) throughout her career. Her most notable
feature films include The Last of the Mohicans (1992), Second
Best (1994), Sister My Sister (1994), The Scarlet Letter (1995),
The Gambler (1997), The House of Mirth (2000) and The Escapist
(2001). She has also done a number of made for TV movies and
minis in Britain. A few of these are Warriors (1999), Tipping
the Velvet (2002) and The Other Boleyn Girl (2003). |
