Writeup: Joanna Kerns made her feature film debut
in the 1976 movie Ape, playing Marilyn Baker. She appeared
in the 1978 feature film Coma but has spent most of her career
as a TV actress, appearing in countless made for TV movies
and the enormously popular series Growing Pains. Growing Pains
went on the air in 1985 and Joanna was cast as Maggie Seaver,
mother to the clan of kids and wife to Alan Thicke's Jason
Seaver. The show ran for seven successful years, going off
the air in 1992. While she was on the show, and in the years
since, Joanna has appeared almost exclusively in made for
TV movies, most of the Lifetime variety. |
