Writeup: JoBeth Williams began her career on soap
operas (Somerset and The Guiding Light) but quickly moved
into feature films, developing a long and fruitful career.
She made her feature film debut in the 1979 film Kramer vs.
Kramer, capturing audiences with her performance. A number
of plum roles followed, including Poltergeist (1982), The
Big Chill (1983) TV movie Adam (1983), Desert Bloom (1986),
Poltergeist II (1986), Switch (1991), Me, Myself & I (1992),
Wyatt Earp (1994), Jungle 2 Jungle (1997) and Just Write (1997).
In the latter stages of her career she has appeared more and
more in made for TV movies and has even given series television
a shot, though she hasn't had any successes (The Client and
Payne were both short lived). |
