Writeup: Jewel made her acting debut at the age of
9, appearing in the made for TV pic Posing: Inspired By Three
Real Stories (1991). She has since made a fruitful career
for herself, almost exclusively on TV, although she has appeared
in a few feature films; Carpool (1996), Cheats (2002) and
the upcoming Firefly (2004). It's TV that she excels in though,
as evidenced by her resume of shows and telepics. Her experience
in series television includes Flash Forward (1996), Spaces
Cases (1996), Da Vinci's Inquest (1998), Higher Ground (2000),
and Firefly (2002). Firefly seemed as though it would be a
big breakthrough, Joss Whedon is presumed to be a genius because
of his work on Buffy, but it didn't draw the kind of ratings
anyone was hoping for. However, it is now being developed
into a feature film and Jewel has been carried over to the
cast of the movie. |
