| The
Writeup: Jewel Kilcher (who is better known as just
Jewel) has a wonderful story of success. She was dirty poor,
and even lived out of her car as a struggling musician trying
to make it big. Luckily, her big time dreams came true and
she sold a whole mess of copies of her debut album Pieces
Of You (1995). She was an instant hit and made sure to cash
in on her fame, releasing a book of poetry and starring in
Ang Lee's civil war misfire Ride With The Devil (1999). Musically,
she has been unable to recapture the magic of her first album,
and even went so far as to completely reinvent herself as
a sexed up hottie for her 2003 album 0304. She looked good,
and had a hit single, but the album was only a mild success.
She is currently set to star in the 2004 film Wave and will
no doubt be touring. |
