Writeup: Jessica Hecht landed her big break when she
was cast as Susan, the lesbian lover of Ross' ex wife, on
Friends. It's a part she has gotten to play numerous times
over the course of the show, and it's also the role that led
to her casting on the NBC series The Single Guy in 1995, which
is probably her highest profile role to date (aside from Susan).
She left the show after one season, for reasons unknown to
me, and has since appeared in feature films and on television,
although not with any great consistency. Her feature films
include Kicking and Screaming (1995), Joe's Rotten World (1995),
Anarchy TV (1997), Jump (1999), Seven Girlfriends (1999),
and The Grey Zone (2001). She has also appeared the TV show
What About Joan, playing Betsy Morgan for season 1. She is
also a frequent TV guest star appearing on shows like Law
& Order: CI, The Agency, Homicide: Life On The Street
and Law & Order: SVU. |
