| The
Writeup: Jennifer Saunders is one of the more beloved
English comics of her time. She has been performing stand
up since the early 80s and is a fixture on British television
thanks to her many ingenious characters and her ability to
write great comic bits. Her most famous work remains the seminal
show Absolutely Fabulous. The show was based on a sketch she
had done with her longtime comic partner Dawn French, and
it turned out to be such a brilliant show that there is still
demand for it today, and apparently they still occasionally
make new episodes. She has also appeared on British shows
The Comic Strip Presents (1982), French And Saunders (1987),
and Let Them Eat Cake (1999). Her feature film resume includes
Eat the Rich (1987), A Midwinter's Tale (1995), Muppet Treasure
Island (1996), Spice World (1997), and Shrek 2 (2004). |
