| The
Writeup: Jenette made her feature film debut in the
James Cameron directed Aliens (1986). She had originally intended
on auditioning for a small role of one of the marines that
dies early, but when she read for the second lead the casting
directory and James were so impressed they gave her the role.
She was then made up to look tough, and her performance helped
to break down some barriers about women and their potential
to be action stars and play parts such as she did (Sigourney
Weaver did a great deal of work towards this end with her
part in the Alien franchise). She has since appeared in a
number of films, mostly in small roles. Her most notable films
are Miracle Mile (1988), Lethal Weapon 2 (1989), Terminator
2: Judgement Day (1991), Star Trek: Generations (1994), Fair
Game (1994), Titanic (1997), Living Out Loud (1998), Clockstoppers
(2002) and Duplex (2003). She has appeared in three James
Cameron films, so obviously he likes her. |
