Writeup: Janine Turner is an experienced TV actress
who probably remains best known for her role on the popular
TV show Northern Exposure. However, Janine has a long and
impressive resume that includes big name feature films and
quality television programs. She began her career on the TV
series Behind The Screen (1981) a show that didn't last beyond
it's premiere year. In 1982 she was cast in General Hospital
and played Laure Templeton for one year. She moved on to the
soap Santa Barbara the next year, and made a one year appearance
on Another World in 1986. In 1990 she landed the role of a
lifetime as Maggie O'Connell on Northern Exposure. It gave
her career and lift and will assure that she is always remembered.
Some of her feature films include Monkey Shines (1988), Steel
Magnolias (1988), Cliffhanger (1993), and Leave It To Beaver
(1997). From 2000-2002 she played Dr. Dana Stowe on the popular
Lifetime series Strong Medicine. She is now working in feature
films. |
