Writeup: A graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic
Art Jane is also an experienced member of the Royal Shakespeare
Company, making her a highly trained and skilled actress.
Born in Lancashire, England, she is a decidedly British actress,
having appeared in few American productions, if any (I can't
find any, but I may be wrong). She is a master of many mediums
though, having conquered the stage, TV, and the big screen
effectively. Her notable feature film roles include Road (1987,
her debut), The Dressmaker (1988), The Witches (1990), Deadly
Advice (1993), Some Kind of Life (1995), Little Voice (1998,
for which she was nominated for a BAFTA, a Golden Globe, a
SAG award and others), Chicken Run (2000, providing the voice
of Babs), and Born Romantic (2000). She also appears frequently
on British television, including the show Absolutely Fabulous
(1992, playing Bubble and Katy Grin), and the TV movies The
Fifteen Streets (1989), Suffer the Little Children (1994),
King Henry IV (1995), Never Mind the Horrocks (1996), and
Hunting Venus (1999). She also lends her voice to a number
of cartoons, including five regular TV shows. |
