The
Writeup: A talented actress with a degree from Juilliard,
Jane has appeared on Broadway, winning a Tony for Best Actress
in the play An Inspector Calls, as well as appearing in
numerous feature films and TV shows. She made her TV debut
as a guest star on the show Tales From The Darkside in 1986.
More guest parts followed on Family Ties before she made
her feature film debut in 1990 with Vital Signs. Since then
she's been performing as a character actress in a number
of feature films while appearing as a regular on three TV
shows, the 1996 series Relativity (canceled quickly), Citizen
Baines (2001) and, most notable, as Mel on Frasier from
1999-2000. Her feature film resume includes Light Sleeper
(1992), I Love Trouble (1994), Mrs. Parker And The Vicious
Circle (1994), Father Of The Bride Part II (1995), Kansas
City (1996), Happiness (1998), Mumford (1999), Songcatcher
(2000), and Wonder Boys (2000).
