Writeup: Jami made her film debut in the 1981 bomb
Endless Love, starring Brooke Shields and also featuring the
film debut of Tom Cruise. After that experience she studied
drama at New York University and returned to Hollywood to
star in a string of successful eighties films aimed at teenagers.
Seemingly having difficulty growing into adult roles, Jami
worked sparingly in the 90's, and she certainly didn't do
anything you've ever heard of (aside from her role as Dr.
Melissa Reeves in Twister). In a bit of a career renaissance,
Jami is now starring in the woeful sitcom Still Standing.
The show blows, but thanks to it's cushy timeslot is assured
of airing for at least five years, maybe longer, ensuring
solid employment and syndication money for all involved. |
