Writeup: A lovely Swedish beauty, Inger moved to the
United States with her father after her parents divorced.
At 16 she ran away from home and worked as a stripper and
chorus girl while studying acting and pursuing a dream of
appearing in movies. 1954 brought her first break, a guest
starring role on Studio One, and marked the beginning of what
would be a promising career. She subsequently guest starred
frequently, appearing on Crusader, On Trial, Playhouse 90,
The Millionaire, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents before landing
her first feature film role in Man on Fire (1957), playing
the second female lead. It was the official kick off of her
feature film career, and she subsequently appeared in Cry
Terror! (1958), The Buccaneer (1958, an entertaining swashbuckler),
and The World, the Flesh and the Devil (1959). She did more
guest starring roles on TV in the following years, and in
1962, attempted suicide, sidelining her for some time. 1963
brought a role on the popular TV series The Farmer's Daughter
(1963-1967), doing one film in that time, The New Interns
(1964). After the show she appeared in the films The New Interns
(1964), Madigan (1968), 5 Card Stud (1968) and A Dream of
Kings (1969) before dying from an overdose of drugs. |
