Writeup: Since 1987 Holly Robinson Peete has starred
in six TV shows, which is simply amazing. She clearly has
a certain charm and charisma that casting directors warm up
to, and you'd have to believe audiences like her as an actress
as well. It all started in 1987 with 21 Jump Street, which
she spent five years on. In 1992 she quickly moved on to her
next series, Hangin' With Mr. Cooper, which ran until 1997.
So if you're counting, that's 10 straight years on a prime
time TV series. Up next was For Your Love, a hit show on the
WB, which ran from 1998-2002. She also spent a year on One
on One, from 2001-02. In 2002 she appeared on the short lived
My Wonderful Life (2002) and now will be appearing on Like
Family (2003). So basically, Holly has appeared on prime time
TV for sixteen straight years, which must be some sort of
record. She actually appeared in one feature film as well,
the infamous Howard the Duck (1986), before she even got started
on TV. There a few other things on the resume, but it's the
TV series work that she's known for, so let's stick with that. |
