Writeup: Geena Davis, where have you gone? The one
time Oscar winner has seemingly disappeared from the American
film and television landscape. Perhaps she's working on her
archery career (she attempted to qualify for the Olympics
and plans on making it someday), or maybe Hollywood has cast
her off as unbankable (her self titled 2000 sitcom flopped
hard). I'm betting it's a little bit of both, she hasn't had
a financially successful starring role since 1992's A League
Of Their Own. She's clearly a fabulous actress, two Oscar
nominations and one win, so what's wrong? I'm guessing Geena
has decided to step back from Hollywood for a while and make
a comeback with the best role she can find, thus becoming
a big star once again. |
