Writeup: Garcelle Beauvais is one of the most beautiful
women working in Hollywood today. Garcelle moved to New York
at the age of 17 to pursue a career in modeling and was signed
to the Ford Agency before long, modeling around the world.
She seemingly had her eye on Hollywood for a long time, guest
starring on Miami Vice in the mid 80s and appearing in two
feature films in the decade (Manhunter and Coming To America).
However, it wasn't until 1994 that she got her big break,
landing the part of Cynthia Nichols on Aaron Spelling's Models
Inc. The show was booted off the air after only a year, but
for Garcelle it was all she needed. She was cast as the sexy
Francesca Monroe on The Jamie Foxx Show on the WB in 1996.
The show ran for 4 years and Garcelle became a TV commodity.
She now appears as ADA Valerie Heywood on NYPD Blue. Her feature
films include Wild Wild West, Double Take, Bad Company and
the forthcoming Barbershop 2. |
