Writeup: Frances Conroy is an accomplished Broadway
actress with Tony nominations to her credit as well as being
a wonderful screen and TV actress. She is now probably best
known as Ruth Fisher on the hit HBO series Six Feet Under,
but Frances has led a long career beginning in 1982 with the
made for TV movie All's Well That Ends Well. She has a number
of feature films on her resume, and the most notable include
Manhattan (1979), In the Hands of the Enemy (1987), Rocket
Gibraltar (1988), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988), Crimes and
Misdemeanors (1989), Billy Bathgate (1991), Scent of a Woman
(1992), Sleepless in Seattle (1993), The Crucible (1996),
Maid in Manhattan (2002), and 2004's Martin Scorcese film
The Aviator. She has also appeared in a number of made for
