| The
Writeup: I think Faith Ford is one of the prettiest
actresses working today. She has an almost flawlessly constructed
face and the most beautiful smile of any actress. Faith was
born and raised in Louisiana and was an avid actress in high
school, appearing in school plays and making it to the finals
of Teen Magazine's annual model search. After graduation she
moved to New York where she worked in commercials and did
a bit of modeling on the side. She also began auditioning
for TV projects and landed her first role as Muffy Critchlow
on One Life To Live in 1983. It was a fairly short lived story
arc and that same year she turned up on the soap Another World,
playing Julia Shearer from '83 to '84. Three years later she
would be cast in the lead role of the series The Popcorn Kid
(1987), but it wasn't until 1988 when the producers of Murphy
Brown came calling that she hit the big time. She was cast
as Corky Sherwood, the bubbly southern girl, and was with
the show for it's entire 10 year run. Almost exclusively a
TV actress (she did appear in Rob Reiner's horrible movie
North in 1994), she has also starred in the shows Maggie Winters
(1998, on which she was also an executive producer), The Norm
Show (1999-2001), and her latest job, Hope & Faith (2003),
which also stars Kelly Ripa. Early ratings for the show have
been good so it seems like Faith has another hit on her hands,
and hopefully another decade of work. |
