Writeup: Born in Paris, France on June 22, 1966, Emannuelle
Seigner is the daughter of a well known photography (father)
and a journalist (mother). Emannuelle was a model at the age
of 14, and her unique beauty catapulted her to international
stardom in the world of modeling. She appeared on numerous
magazine covers and worked the runway the world over. 1985
saw her make her big time film debut with Jean-Luc Godard's
Detective, starring opposite Johnny Hallyday and Nathalie
Baye. In the late 80s Emmanuelle met director Roman Polanski
(& married him in 1989), which ended up being a boon for
her career. Her gave her the role of Michelle in 1988's Harrison
Ford film Frantic, and in 1992 awarded her with the lead in
Bitter Moon. She has since appeared on film infrequently,
mostly in French pictures. |
