Writeup: Emma was born on January 21st, 1976 in North
London to Pauline, a karate instructor, and Trevor, a milkman.
Her parents separated when she was 11 and her mother was awarded
custody. At a young age Emma modeled for various products
like Mentadent and Mothercare. She attended the Sylvia Young
Drama School to further her dramatic talents, but never really
established any sort of acting career. In fact, the only time
I can find her appearing in something playing a character
besides herself is when she played a prostitute in the telepic
To Play the King (1994). We all know Emma because of her involvement
with the Spice Girls, who at one point were probably the most
popular band in the world, appearing all over MTV, magazines,
and most importantly, the album charts. They sold tens of
millions of albums around the world. They were so popular
they even got to make their own movie, Spice World, which
of course was not so successful, at least here in the US.
The girls have subsequently broken up and each is pursuing
a solo career. Emma has released a successful solo album (in
the UK at least) and is working on her second. |
