Writeup: Elizabeth Berridge was born in Westchester,
NY in 1962 and was encouraged to pursue acting from a young
age. After graduating from Mamaroneck High School she studied
acting at the Strasberg Institute, cementing her talent. She
has a long list of theater credits, choosing to divide her
time between theater and film. In 1986 she received a Drama
Desk nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play for "Wrestlers,"
and it is just one of many accolades she has received in her
career. Her first feature film was Natural Enemies (1979),
a small film about a man who hires five hookers to fulfill
a fantasy of his before killing himself and his family. Her
most notable feature film was the 1984 Milos Forman opus Amadeus
(1984), which won 8 Oscars, including Best Picture. Other
notable films include Smooth Talk (1985), When the Party's
Over (1992), Broke Even (2000) and the upcoming Hidalgo (2004).
She may also be well known to American audiences because of
her TV work: Another World: Texas (1981-82), The Powers That
Be (1992), and The John Larroquette Show (1993), playing Officer
Eve Eggers from 1993-1996. |
