Writeup: Eileen Brennan is a wonderfully talented
and oft employed character actress who has maintained a flourishing
career since the early 70s. She made her feature film debut
in Divorice American Style (1967) and it wasn't long before
she was an in demand supporting actress. Her best decade was
the 70s, and her memorable films from the period include The
Last Picture Show (1971), Scarecrow (1973), The Sting (1973),
Daisy Miller (1974) and FM (1978). She was nominated for an
Oscar for her role in the 1980 Goldie Hawn film Private Benjamin
and won an Emmy for her role in the TV series spinoff. Her
memorable latter work includes Funny Farm (1983), Clue (1985),
Sticky Fingers (1988), and It Had To Be You (1989). In the
90s she worked in TV movies and low rent feature films, although
she remains a quality performer. |
