| The
Writeup: Edie McClurg is by no means famous, but I'm
quite certain you've seen her face multiple times. She has
more than 35 feature film credits to her name, plus countless
TV regular roles and guest starring spots. Let's run down
a few of her feature films: Her debut, playing Helen in Carrie
(1976), Cheech & Chong's Next Movie (1980), Pandemonium (1982),
The Longshot (1986), Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), Back
to School (1986) (in both of the previous two films she played
a secretary, and both films happened to open on June 13th
1986), Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987), Elvira, Mistress
of the Dark (1988), Curly Sue (1991), Natural Born Killers
(1994), Flubber (1997), Holy Man (1998), Can't Stop Dancing
(1999) and National Lampoon's Van Wilder (2002). She is a
wonderful character actress and often steals any scene she's
involved in. Her TV work is just as impressive, considering
she's been a series regular on more shows than I can count.
Some of the memorable shows are WKRP in Cincinnati (1979),
The David Letterman Show (1980), No Soap, Radio (1982), Small
Wonder (1985), Valerie (1986), The Hogan Family (1988), Drexell's
Class (1991), Caroline in the City (1995) and The Kids From
Room 402 (1999). In addition to all that work, she has guest
starred on more than 30 shows throughout the years. |
