Writeup: For someone with such cartoonish measurements,
Dolly Parton has managed to become something of an icon in
the entertainment industry. A country mega star in the 70's,
Dolly branched out to acting in 1980 with her role in the
office comedy 9 To 5. She also earned an Oscar nomination
for composing the theme song to the film. In the decades since
her breakout first role, Dolly has performed, and performed
well in a number of films, some memorable (Steel Magnolias),
and some utterly forgettable (Rhinestone). Dolly also happens
to own a wildly successful theme park in Tennesse, aptly named
Dollywood. |
