| The
Writeup: Diana Hyland was a presence on TV and in
feature films in the 60s and a budding TV star in the late
70s before passing away in 1977 due to breast cancer. She
made her debut on the soap opera Young Dr. Malone in 1961
then made the jump to feature films. Some of her credits include
One Man's Way (1964), The Chase (1966), Smoky (1966), and
Jigsaw (1968). She starred on the soap Peyton Place from 1968-69
and aside from a TV movie in 1970 (Ritual Of Evil) she was
relegated to guest starring roles on a myriad of TV shows.
In fact, her resume shows more than 70 guest starring roles
on various TV shows from 1955 to 1977. She had just landed
the role of Joan Bradford, a costarring role, on the TV series
Eight Is Enough, when she was diagonosed with breast cancer.
She passed away after filming only 4 episodes. |
