Writeup: It's hard to characterize Dey Young's career,
she doesn't really have any standout roles in her career,
and yet she's been a successful working actress since 1979
when she appeared in the feature film Rock 'n' Roll High School
(1979). Since then she has worked primarily in feature films
with the occasional foray into TV. Other notable feature films
include Strange Behavior (1981), Spaceballs (1987, playing
a waitress), The Running Man (1987, one of Schwarzenegger's
successful 80s films), Pretty Woman (1990, playing a saleswoman),
Back in the U.S.S.R. (1992), Conflict of Interest (1993),
Executive Decision (1996), Shadow Conspiracy (1997), Tactical
Assault (1998), The Mod Squad (1999, a much hyped failure),
and Guardian (2000). Her most notable TV roles are the telepics
Samaritan: The Mitch Snyder Story (1986), Murder 101 (1991),
Letter to My Killer (1995), The David Cassidy Story (2000,
playing Shirley Jones), and her part as Dr. Irene Shulman
on Melrose Place from 1996-1999. |
