Writeup: A beauty pageant veteran, she was the winner
of Miss USA 1970, Deborah Shelton got into acting ten years
after her pageant win, appearing as a guest star on the TV
show Kate Loves A Mystery in 1979. That same year she appeared
on the TV movie Island Of Saint Theresa. Her feature film
debut came in Bloodtide (1982). Many of her subsequent feature
films have titles that make you think of B level flicks involving
lots of simulated sex and breasts. Here are a few sample titles:
Body Double (1984), Blind Vision (1992), Nemesis (1993), Sins
of the Night (1993), and Desire (1993). She also executive
produced the 1988 film Perfect Victims. One of her most notable
roles came on television, and it may be the role that most
people remember her in. That is the role of Mandy Winger on
Dallas from 1984-1987. Dallas was one of the most popular
shows of it's time, racking up huge ratings in primetime.
