Writeup: Born in California in 1962, Deborah Foreman
made her screen debut in the 1982 film I'm Dancing As Fast
As I Can. Two TV movies followed and then her big break in
the comedy Valley Girl in 1983. She was subsequently cast
in Real Genius (1985) and My Chaffeur (1986), two successful
films that helped her win the pretigious Most Promising New
Star award at the Sho West convention in 1986. Given out yearly,
the award highlights a hot up and coming actor and actress,
and they're often dead on with their predictions. However,
in the case of Deborah Foreman, big success was not in the
cards. After her award, films like Waxwork, Destroyer, Lobster
Men From Mars (what the hell?), and Friends, Lovers &
Lunatics followed. Outside of a guest appearance on the TV
The Marshal in 1995, we haven't heard a peep from Deborah
since 1991. |
