Writeup: Countess Vaughn was on TV at age ten, appearing
on the amusing series 227, about an apartment building and
it's eccentric tenants. She show ran for five years, but she
was only a cast member from 1988-1989. That same year, 1988,
she also appeared on the TV special The Magical World of Disney
(1988), doing something or other, I couldn't really be sure.
After her initial Hollywood experience, she didn't really
work much, guest starring on Hangin' With Mr. Cooper, Roc,
Thea, and Minor Adjustments in the early to mid 90s. In 1996
she landed the role of a career when she was cast as Kim Parker
on Moesha, a series for UPN. She played the supporting role
until 1999, when she was cast on the spinoff series The Parkers,
based on the TV family she was a part of. The series is still
running and remains one of UPN's most popular offerings. Countess
has also appeared in the feature films Trippin' (1999) and
Max Keeble's Big Move (2001). |
