Writeup: One of the original supermodels, Claudia
Schiffer came to fame in the late 80s as a model and has remained
popular throughout the following years. She has done ad campaigns
for Loreal, Guess?, Victoria's Secret, Chanel, The Gap, and
oh so many more in addition to appearing on the cover of countless
fashion mags. Claudia has also appeared in a number of workout
videos, which sold quite well. In 1994 she made her feature
film debut in Richie Rich, but it wasn't until 1997's The
Blackout that she truly had her acting debut, appearing in
a part that required some work (she played an aerobics instructor
in Richie Rich). The independent film Black and White (1999)
followed, and Claudia was actually pretty good. Other films
include Desperate But Not Serious (1999), Life Without Dick
(2001), and Love Actually (2003). She is a decent actress,
although not as good as Elle MacPherson or Famke Janssen (this
is all relative here, none of these supermodels are going
to win an Oscar). By my count, she has been engaged three
times, most notably to mega famous magician David Copperfield.
She married producer Matthew Vaughn in 2002 and the pair have
one child together. |
