| The
Writeup: A star of both feature films and television,
Cindy made her major debut as one of the stars of The Guiding
Light, playing Jackie Spaulding from 1976-1980. After that
it was off and running in Hollywood. She made her feature
film in 1980, appearing in Night Games. Other notable feature
films include Circle of Power (1983), Ferris Bueller's Day
Off (1986), The Men's Club (1986), Hot to Trot (1988), Crooked
Hearts (1991), Sleepwalkers (1992), Son in Law (1993) and
Painted Hero (1996). A bit of trivia about Ferris Bueller's
Day Off. Cindy played Ferris' mother, and she and her husband
on film, Lyman Ward, actually fell in love and married in
real life after the movie. In the mid 80s Cindy spent two
years on the hugely popular medical show St. Elsewhere, playing
Dr. Carol Novino. She has also appeared on the TV shows Call
To Glory and Hyperion Bay, both quick cancellations. Her TV
movies include Cocaine and Blue Eyes (1983), A Question About
Sex (1990), and The Making of a Hollywood Madam (1996). |
