Writeup: Born in Paris, France in May of 1972, Chiara
was born into an acting family. She is the daughter of legendary
French actress Catherine Deneuve and actor Marcello Mastroianni.
Her brother is an actor and she has two cousins who have gone
into the business. Like her mother, she has mostly stuck to
French cinema in her career with only the occasional foray
into American pictures. Her debut came in 1993's Ma saison
préférée and the next year she appeared in Robert Altman's
Prêt-à-Porter. Other notable films include All Men Are Mortal
(1995), My Sex Life... or How I Got Into an Argument (1996),
Nowhere (1997), Six-Pack (2000), Hotel (2001), Carnage (2002)
and It's Easier for a Camel... (2003). In 2002 she married
Benjamin Biolay after a whirlwind courtship. The two now have
a daughter, Anna, together. It is Chiara's second child. She
has a son, Milo, from a previous relationship, who was born
in 1997. |
