Writeup: Cathy Moriarty made a sparkling debut in
1980's Raging Bull. She was a completely untrained and inexperienced
actress and she handled herself with grace and ease opposite
Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci, earning an Oscar nomination in
the process. She next appeared in the Dan Aykroyd film Neighbors
(1981 - it was a big flop) and promptly dropped off the map
for six years. She returned with a small role in the 1987
film White Of The Eye and began building her career again.
She has since appeared in a number of quality films, proving
that her hot start in Raging Bull wasn't a fluke. Some of
her most notable films include Kindergarten Cop (1990), Soapdish
(1991), The Mambo Kings (1992), Matinee (1993), Forget Paris
(1995), Cop Land (1997), But I'm A Cheerleader (1999), and
Analyze That (2002). |
