Writeup: A fantastically gorgeous blonde actress,
Cathy Lee Crosby made her feature film debut in The Laughing
Policeman (1973) and gained a certain amount of notoriety
playing the title character in Wonder Woman (1974), although
she was not cast as Wonder Woman on the TV show that would
follow in 1976. Other work in the 70s includes the feature
films Trackdown (1976), Coach (1978) and The Dark (1979).
She also appeared on two versions of Circus Of The Stars,
using her natural athletic ability to really shine. 1980 brought
her most notable gig, as one of the three hosts of the series
That's Incredible!, which ran until 1984. The show featured
amazing feats of humanity, including inspirational stories,
feats of sheer stupidity, and amazing events. This probably
remains the highest profile time in her career, although she
has appeared in feature films and TV movies over the decades.
A sufferer of Epstein-Barr Syndrome, Cathy had a hard time
working in the early to mid 90s, but as the late 90s rolled
around she seemed to have her career back on track, with roles
in the feature films The Real Howard Spitz (1998), The Big
Tease (1999) and Ablaze (2001) in addition to a number of
TV movies. |
