Writeup: Catherine began her career on the soap opera
Ryan's Hope, she played Dr. Faith Coolidge for two years,
and in 1980 was Emmy nominated for her role as Marilyn Monroe
in Marilyn: The Untold Story. She seemed a sure bet for stardom
after that high profile role, but her film career never got
off the ground. She delivered admirable supporting performances
in films like Peggy Sue Got Married, Star Trek IV, The Razor's
Edge, Child's Play and more. She never became a movie star,
but in 1996, long after her prime had passed, she was cast
as Annie Camden on the WB's 7th Heaven. The network itself
was fledgling, and a drama about a minister and his family
didn't seem a sure bet for success, but the show has become
the WB's longest running and most successful show. As a result,
Catherine is now a recognizable name and face in Hollywood. |
