Writeup: Born in 1969 in Palos Verdes, California,
Brooke's career can effectively be broken up into two parts.
In the late 80s she began the first part of her career, appearing
on an episode of Growing Pains. The very next year she was
cast as Wendy Lubbock on the short lived but fairly popular
series Just The Ten Of Us. It ran until 1990, and while on
the show she starred in the feature films Little Nikita (1988)
and A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988),
of which the latter was a nice career boost. After the show's
cancellation she appeared again on television, on the shows
Good & Evil (1991) and Home Free (1993), both of which were
quickly canceled, and in the TV movies Lies of the Heart (1991)
and Menendez: A Killing in Beverly Hills (1994), which was
all abou the Menendez brothers. However, after 1994 she essentially
disappeared, and I'm going to assume this is because she chose
to concentrate on her family. In 1994 she married actor Bryan
Genesse and the following year they had a child, Mitchell.
Brooke chose to end her hiatus in 1999 when she made the occasional
appearance as a performer on The Amanda Show, a sketch comedy
show starring Amanda Bynes, and aimed at the kiddies. She
has subsequently appeared in the feature films The Alternate
(2000) and Quicksand (2001) as well as guest starring on Clueless
and American Dreams. |
